Advanced Obedience

Our Advanced Obedience class is designed for dogs who already have a solid foundation in basic manners and are ready for a new challenge. This course focuses on improving reliability around distractions, strengthening off-leash control, and sharpening communication between you and your dog.

In Advanced Obedience, we build on core skills and introduce more complex exercises, including:

• Faster, more reliable Sit, Down, and Stay with greater distance and duration
• Heeling with attention and automatic sits
• Stronger recall (coming when called) around real‑life distractions
• Leave it and Drop it in more challenging situations
• Advanced impulse control (stays while you walk away, door manners, greeting people calmly)
• Beginning off‑leash work in a safe, controlled environment
• Improved focus and responsiveness in busy or exciting settings

This class is ideal for dogs who have completed a Basic Obedience course (or have equivalent skills) and for owners who want a dog that listens reliably at home, in public, and around other dogs.
